Tracey Holloway, PhD

Biography

Tracey Holloway is a leader, scientist, and educator. For over 20 years, she has worked with students, scientists, and outreach staff to understand the air we breathe. Partnering with policy organizations and private companies, Tracey’s expertise in air quality, energy, and health helps advance and apply data to real-world information needs. 

Professor Holloway is jointly appointed in the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies and the Department of Atmospheric and Ocean Sciences. Based in the Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE), the Holloway Group conducts research at the intersection of air quality, energy, climate, and public health. Tracey also serves as the two-time Leader of the NASA Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team, which connects NASA data with stakeholder interests in air quality management and public health, and she chairs the Energy Analysis and Policy graduate certificate at UW–Madison.
